Article of the Week
Directions. This assignment is designed to give students practice in close reading for argument development, for critiquing professional writing for manipulations of logic (logical fallacies) and statistics, and responding thoughtfully. Each week an article will be posted here. Students should provide evidence of close reading (annotations) and write a single-page response that (a) summarizes the most significant arguments and counterarguments presented, and (b) evaluate the reasoning and use of evidence, and (c) respond to the article with your comments and thoughts.

Find vocab lists and definitions on Quizlet. Definitions and sentences are due every Friday. Quizes will be on Fridays on weeks 2,4,8 and on Thursday of Week 6.
